How it works

How your private browser game is made

CoupleLore draws the two characters of a short personalized browser game as stylized pixel art, inspired by one photo of each person. You receive the finished game as a private link — no app or account required, and no physical item is shipped.

What happens after you start

You choose the details and face-option count. CoupleLore prepares the characters and game, keeps the progress on one status page, and emails you when action is needed.

  1. Personalize the quest

Choose the occasion, add both names and upload one clear character photo per person. Write the closing message and, if you want, add up to three memory photos, three notes, a Storm Axe question with four answers, and a partner outfit.

  2. Choose how many face options, then pay

Decide how many drawn face options you want per person: one, two or three. The game and its features are the same at every price. You pay once at checkout. Prices shown include tax where applicable.

  3. Follow preparation

Your private status page shows the current progress. After a successful order, we usually email the next step in about 5–10 minutes. If your order includes two or three face options per person, you choose the faces first; the private game link follows after your choice. This is a typical time, not a guarantee.

  4. Choose a face when your tier includes options

With the two- or three-option tier, we email you when the choices are ready. Choose one generated face for each person; you can also flip a face if its direction looks better that way.

  5. Play, check and share

When the game is ready, we email the private play link. Open it in a phone or laptop browser, play it yourself first if you like, then share the same link with the recipient.

Three prices, one complete game

Every option includes the same game and personalization features. Only the number of generated face choices changes.

Choose 1 face option per person for $5.99, 2 each for $6.99 or 3 each for $7.99. One-time prices, tax included where applicable; no subscription.

What's a face option?

We draw each character's face as stylized pixel art, inspired by the photo you upload. A face option is one version of that drawing. With 2 or 3 options, you get that many for each of you and pick the one you like. With 1 option, we use the face we drew. Everything else in the game is the same at every price.

Common questions

What is CoupleLore?

CoupleLore is one personalized browser game. Two drawn characters move through a forest-and-castle adventure that ends with your chosen occasion and closing message.

Is it an app?

No. The game opens from a link in a phone or laptop browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create.

Can I play an example first?

Yes. The playable example is the real game with sample characters and details, so you can see it before making your own.

Which occasions are supported?

Proposal, birthday and love confession. Each changes the finale while the adventure stays the same.

What do I receive?

A private link to the finished game, a status page that shows preparation and holds the link controls, and an email when the game is ready. With two or three face options per person, you also choose a face for each character.

What changes between the three prices?

Only how many face options you get per person. The game, occasion finale, memory photos, notes, Storm Axe question, outfit choice, closing message and private link are the same at every price.

How are our photos used?

The two character photos go to an external AI image service, which draws new stylized pixel-art character heads for your private game; the character photos themselves are not placed in the game. Memory photos are resized for the game and are not sent to that service. The result is an interpretation, not a guaranteed portrait match. Only use photos of people who have agreed to appear in the game.

What happens to the original character photos?

They're scheduled for deletion seven days after the game is ready.

What are memory photos?

Optional photos of the two of you, hung in frames inside the castle. You can add up to three, and a photo of you together works well here.

What do notes do?

You can add up to three short notes. They appear as discoveries along the adventure rather than changing the combat or route.

What is the Storm Axe question?

An optional question you write, with four answers. Picking the right answer in the game unlocks the Storm Axe.

What does the outfit choice change?

It sets which of two outfits the rescued princess wears. Her face is still drawn from the photo you upload.

How do Finale Voice and Battle Cry work?

Both are optional recordings. Finale Voice can play with your closing message, while Battle Cry plays during the prince's third combo hit. Finale Voice can be up to 15 seconds and Battle Cry up to 2 seconds. Both are your own recordings, played back as recorded; CoupleLore doesn't clone or synthesize voices.

What happens after checkout?

Checkout opens with our payment provider. The page you return to afterwards can't confirm the payment on its own; your status page updates once the payment is confirmed, and character preparation starts then.

How long does it take to receive my game?

Under normal conditions, we email the next step about 5–10 minutes after a successful order. If your order includes two or three face options per person, you choose the faces first and the private game link follows after your choice; otherwise, that email contains your private game link. That is a typical time, not a guarantee.

I didn't receive the email. What should I do?

Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure you are looking in the inbox of the email address you used for the order. Delivery can occasionally take a few extra minutes, so give it a little more time. If the email still hasn't arrived, write to support@couplelore.com from that address and tell us roughly when you ordered. Please don't send your status-page or game links.

What does a private link mean, and can I switch it off?

The game isn't listed publicly and its page is marked not to be indexed, but anyone with the link can open it, so share it deliberately. You can replace or revoke the link from your status page. That stops future access through the old link but can't take back anything already loaded, downloaded or captured in a screenshot.

How long will the game stay available?

Your game remains accessible after it is ready while CoupleLore continues to operate the service, subject to our Terms.

What if something goes wrong?

Check your status page first. If you still need help, see the Help page or email support@couplelore.com from the address you bought the game with and tell us roughly when you bought it. Please don't send your status-page or game links.

Ready to make one?

Have two clear character photos, both names and the closing message ready. The optional memories and question can be added as you go.
